Beef Biltong

Beef Biltong is high in protein and delicious. We trim off excess fat and the marbling of natural fat through the meat gives beef biltong its succulence. It is a softer texture than venison biltong and has that great beef flavour.

Our beef comes from our carefully selected butchers in the Chilterns, much of it from local beef herds and is hand-cut into fillets that are chosen for shape, grain and texture.

What's in our Beef Biltong?

Carefully selected cuts of prime beef, sourced from local butchers and farms. Our butcher carefully prepares the meat before rubbing it in spices and herbs brought from his hometown in South Africa.

When we make Beef Biltong, it is dehydrated for five to six days. We use 200g of Beef for every 100g of biltong product. Concentrated meaty goodness!

Ingredients - depending on flavour.

Prime Beef, Chilli Flakes / garlic granules, Flavouring.

Flavouring: celery, maize flour, maize meal, colourants, flavour enhancer (MSG, E621), hydrogenated vegetable fat (palm fruit), anticaking agent, acidity regulator, spice extract (antioxidant TBHQ)], salt, spices, sugar. Preservative potassium sorbate.

Handmade Chilli Flavour Beef Droewors

Beef Droewors is a wonderfully tasty dried sausage snack that doesn't need refrigerating and is perfect to carry in your school lunchbox, gym or work bag as a protein snack. Choose from a handy 55g snack pack or a 110g sharing pack.

Droewors is made with prime minced beef and our special herbs and spices and it goes superbly well with a beer!

Beef Droewors

Beef Droewors is high in protein and delicious; it is made in a similar way to Boerewors sausage, but it is then dried in the same way as Biltong, giving a dry sausage that doesn't need to be kept refrigerated.

We mince our own beef for our Droewors, using the same fine quality beef that we use for our Biltong. The natural marbling of fat through the meat gives beef Droewors flavour and succulence. It is a dry sausage but has a softer texture than biltong and it has that great beef flavour - strong in umami.

Flavouring: Spice Extract, celery, Dextrose. Preservative, Potassium metabisulfite, Vinegar; Flavorings (Maize Starch) Anti-caking Agent, Acid regulators, Flavour enhancer; antioxidant (TEHQ), Dehydrated vegetable (onion - irradiated) Antioxidant (Sodium Erythorbate).

Our chewy Beef Bites are made with trimmings from the same beef used in our fine beef biltong and are high in protein and delicious. We trim off excess fat from our beef and shape it for Biltong; any pieces too small to go on the hooks are made into small cuts and dried as beef bites.
